“Samuel Temple is a small healthy but shy boy...” he could say the words blue and ‘know’ for yes,  as in I yes I know. Or this I know. And he said “here” instead of there, “there” for here, “mine” for yours and “yours” for mine. See Samuel was confused, slow but sweet. His words were wrong and he was clumsy on his feet. But he smiled and was polite, happy to do what was right.  Samuel was a dreamer with a nack for losing time. Perhaps if he were Thomas he would be better because he was new, he knew how to be clever.
